Judith reached out to work on pulling together a brand identity for her new studio, People + Practice. With over 20 years’ experience as an architect, Practice Director, and coach, Judith has seen how hard it is to balance leadership, operations, and culture, and how powerful it can be when you get it right. With People + Practice she helps firms build resilient businesses where people thrive, leaders lead with clarity, and culture is more than just words on a website.

Since People + Practice involves communication, leadership and less of design, I’ve chosen a typeface that is clear, modern and built for purpose. The addition of ‘thorn traps’ gives this font some elegant character, despite being a Monospaced Grotesque.

As well as designing a visual identity, Judith also requested a one-page website to share with her network and clients during the soft launch of the studio. I designed the webiste in Figma, using the visual identity as a simple set of guidelines. I then developed and published the website using Framer.

I can’t recommend Sana enough after working with her as I started my architecture practice and people management consultancy.

Faced with a blank page in terms of brand, Sana guided me through getting started by prompting discussions with a variety of ideas but leaving me with full control over direction.

It was a joy to work with her, she really listened to what I was saying and where I wanted to go with the design and, crucially, was suggestive with ideas rather than directive, meaning that the final outcome felt very much me.

The proof that this worked…everyone who has seen my website says just that! And I couldn’t have asked for more.
