Pitching Your Portfolio

In small, supportive groups, we worked closely with emerging creatives actively seeking roles in the built environment, creating a relaxed space where they could practice talking through their portfolios with confidence. Each participant received thoughtful feedback tailored to their strengths and areas for growth, helping them refine their presentation skills and storytelling techniques. Beyond portfolio reviews, we shared a range of practical resources and materials, from interview tips to industry-specific job boards, to guide them on their career journey. The session not only boosted their confidence but also connected them with a community of peers and mentors invested in their success.

Communicating your portfolio, skills and interests is just as important as presenting your work and this was emphasised in this Open Studio. The team also shared examples of portfolios sent into the studio, often used as examples for work experience students and prepared a resource for attendees to take away, summarising the advice from their presentation.
