Turner Works

In this Open Studio hosted at Turner Works, architecture students and graduates were welcomed into a design-led studio known for its contextual and socially engaged work. Participants shared their portfolios and received considered feedback on narrative, clarity, and communicating design intent. The session offered insight into Turner Works’ approach to projects, studio culture, and collaborative working methods, with an emphasis on research, making, and place-driven design. Through open discussion and critique, attendees gained practical advice on refining their portfolios, articulating their design thinking, and understanding what smaller, design-focused practices look for when reviewing applications.
